What is the difference between continuous flow and pulse dose modes?

Designed to meet the needs of your busy lifestyle and adapt as your activity level changes, the iGo provides the option of using a continuous flow and pulse dose delivery mode. The pulse dose delivery mode provides short and consistent bursts of oxygen, whereas the continuous flow mode provides a constant stream of oxygen. The pulse dose delivery mode helps conserve oxygen and power, in addition to helping prevent throat irritation and nasal dryness. The continuous flow mode is usually the recommended method of delivery to use while sleeping.

  1. Provides 1-6 lpm in the Pulse Dose Mode or 1-3 lpm in the continuous flow mode
  2. Onboard OSD (oxygen sensing device) guarantees accurate oxygen delivery and helps reduce the need for periodic maintenance
  3. Batterycan last for up to 5.4 hours of use (on setting 1 in the Pulse Dose Mode)
  4. Batterycharges quickly – it only takes between 2-4.5 hours to achieve a full charge
  5. Batterygauge – with one quick glance users will know just how much use time is left before the battery will need to be recharged
  6. Lightweight – even with the battery this unit still weighs under 20 pounds
  7. Has the option of being used with 50 foot tubing/cannula in the continuous flow mode or with 35 foot tubing/cannula in the Pulse Dose mode
  8. Worry-free operation – Unit will emit audible alerts in the case of a power failure, low battery, low oxygen output, high flow/low flow, no breath detected in Pulse Dose Mode, high temperatures, or unit malfunctions
  9. Using the Pulse Dose Mode can extend the use time by conserving oxygen and using less power consumption
  10. Factory tested to ensure proper oxygen purity ratings, flow rates, pulse volume and battery run time
  11. Performance tested for reliability and durability
  12. Made in the USA
